To which the Prophet replied:
"If I answer yes, this will be taken as an obligation
that will bind you beyond your strength ... The pilgrimage must be fulfilled
once in your lives, and whoever carries it out more than once, will do so
voluntarily"Umrah Tour packages Uk '
2) According to this Hadith (Tradition of the Prophet), the
pilgrimage is a duty owed to God, once in a lifetime; doing it more than once
is a voluntary thing. All the sages ('ulama') agree in this respect.
3) Regarding the restricted pilgrimage, some scholars say
that it is desirable, but it is not obligatory, and they quote Abu Hurayra who
tells what the Prophet says on purpose, about it: "the pilgrimage is a
duty, but the pilgrimage restricted is optional. "
Once a Bedouin came to the Prophet and told him:
"Oh, messenger of God, is' Umra an obligation? ''
The Prophet replied:
"No, but it is preferable for you to fulfill it."
4) The Messenger of God recommends the rapid fulfillment of
the pilgrimage. "He who wishes to go on a pilgrimage must hurry, because
he could fall ill, lose his means of transportation or face poverty."
